About Sandra Gruescu
|
Sandra Gruescu is a research associate at the Department of Economics and Public Finance,
Institute of Economics at Darmstadt University of Technology in Germany. She is currently
working on her PhD thesis about the ageing population and its effects on economic growth. Her
other interests are the determinants of the duration of unemployment for women, the German
pension system´s taxation and the linkage between ethics and economics. She holds a degree
in Economics from the Freie Universität Berlin in Germany. She is married and has one child.

About Niels Peter Thomas
|
|
Niels Thomas is a research associate at the Chair of Political Economy, Institute of
Economics at Darmstadt University of Technology in Germany. He is currently working on his
PhD thesis, which will be about public choice issues of high-risk decisions. He received a
combined degree in electrical engineering and economics (Dipl.-Wirtsch.-Ing., equivalent to
a master´s degree) at Darmstadt University of Technology. Before he graduated, he spent
some years working and doing a research project about car recycling in China. In his spare
time, he loves taking part in Internet auctions, bidding for old books about economics.
